Job Description
Minimum Requirements
FT Lateral Transfer:
To be considered an eligible applicant, candidates must hold current Full-Time Police Officer status, and be a full-time enforcement officer from any U.S. law enforcement agency with a minimum of two years full time experience in his/her agency in order to apply to the Department as a Lateral Transfer.
A former Norwood police officer, who separated from the Department in good standing, may apply to rejoin the Department as a reinstatement.
Possess an Associate's Degree or equivalent credits when enrolled in a Bachelor's program, or be an active member of the military or honorably discharged.
A FT Lateral Transfer applicant must be certified and in good standings with the National Decertification Index (NDI).
Must be of good moral character and fit for employment, as determined by the POST Commission.
