Framingham PD: FT Lateral Transfer Officer

Job Description

The City of Framingham is a professional, accredited law enforcement agency dedicated to providing superior service to our community. The department is currently searching for highly motivated, experienced POST Certified Police Officers for lateral transfer to the Framingham Police Department. 

In addition to the patrol and detective divisions, our residents are also served by the departments School Resource Officers, Safety Division, Traffic Enforcement Unit, Motor Unit, Bicycle Patrol Unit, Drone Unit, Special Operations unit, and K9 Unit. Committed to the community policing philosophy, the Framingham Police Department has established numerous outreach programs which included a Police Athletic League, Youth Academy, Shop with a Cop, and several more.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the Framingham PD's FT Lateral Transfer Officer position(s), you must meet the following requirements:

• To be considered an eligible applicant for this position, applicants must hold current Full-Time Police Officer status, and be POST Certified.
• A full-time enforcement officer from any U.S. law enforcement agency with experience in his/her agency may apply to join the Department as a Lateral Transfer. Out of state Lateral Transfers, must have an MPTC Exemption or Massachusetts Police Officer Certification.
• A FT Lateral Transfer applicant must be certified and in good standings with the National Decertification Index (NDI).
• Must be of good moral character and fit for employment, as determined by the POST Commission.
• Must be free of tattoos past the wrist towards the hand, on the neck, or on the face.

Salary & Compensation

The Framingham PD offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
