Job Description
Plainville PD: Your First Badge Should Mean Something!
Forget blending into a massive agency where you’re just another name on a roster. Plainville PD is a tight, highly trained team — and we’re looking for one motivated recruit who’s ready to rise. Built on integrity, accountability, and real community policing, this is where your career begins — not where it stalls.
Who We Are:
- 25 sworn officers — a force big enough to back you, small enough to know you.
- 6 Sergeants + 4 Detectives — leadership that invests in your growth.
- 14 Patrol Officers — the backbone of a proactive team.
- Mental health clinician support — because responding right matters.
Why You’ll Love Protecting Plainville:
- Build true trust with residents — not just respond, but connect.
- Get hands-on experience right away — no waiting years for real responsibility.
- Be part of a department on the rise — driven, modern, community-strong.
- Help shape the future of policing in a growing town.
Who We Want:
- Someone who’s not just looking for a job…but a purpose.
- Someone ready to put in the work, pass every challenge, and earn the badge.
- Someone with backbone. Grit. Integrity.
The mission starts here — protecting a town with heart and backing a team with hustle. Become a leader before the stripes hit your sleeve.
