Your getbadged exam score qualifies you to apply to all entry-level jobs with agencies on our platform.
Your score doesn’t “belong” to any one PD — it’s tied to you, and automatically attaches to every application you submit, confirming for the department that you have met the exam requirement.
If a department hires through getbadged, you’ll never be asked to take another entry exam.

What Does 'Open Exam Site' Mean?

If a PD is listed as the exam venue, can I only apply to that department?

No. When an exam is hosted at a department, it’s not exclusive to that agency. All getbadged members are welcome to register and test. The department is simply offering their space as a convenient venue.

Because you’re testing through getbadged, your score can be used to apply to any and all departments hiring with getbadged—not just the hosting PD.

Exam Registration Deadlines & Refund Policy.

Registration Deadlines:

In-Person Exams: Registration closes at 9:00 AM the day before the exam.
Online Exams: Registration closes at 9:00 AM, 7–10 days prior to the exam date.

Please Note: Registration for all exams may close earlier if filled to capacity—it's whichever comes first. Online exams often sell out 1–2 months in advance, while in-person exams typically reach capacity a few weeks before the test date. Early registration is strongly encouraged.

All exam registrations are non-refundable, and exam dates are non-transferable.

Requirements

Requirements for Online Exam Participation:

Mobile smartphone or tablet to install the GoTo app for proctors' camera visibility & monitoring during the exam.
Desktop or Laptop PC: Windows 8.1 or later OR MacOS 10.13 or later for testing app installation
Reliable Internet Connection: A stable internet connection is required. If you get disconnected during the exam for any reason, you will not be allowed to re-enter.
Reserve Your Seat: Exam attendance is expected, but you must confirm your seat at least 5 days before your exam with our proctors (IO Solutions). A reservation link will be emailed approximately 6-8 days prior. Add info@getbadged.com and info@iosolutions.com to your contacts to ensure you receive important updates!
Secure Testing Environment: Your space must be clear of all materials—only your computer and phone are allowed. No one else may be present.
