New Badge. New Chapter. You’ve done the work.
You know the job. Now it’s about where you do it—and who you do it with.
Why Malden Police Department?
- Walk in with credibility — experience is recognized immediately, not re-earned through busywork.
- Real calls, real discretion — trusted to make decisions, not micromanaged through every step.
- Urban complexity without burnout culture — stay sharp without running on fumes.
- A department that understands laterals bring value, not risk — your prior service matters here.
- Opportunity to reset your environment without resetting your career — new chapter, same momentum.
- Enough action to stay engaged — enough structure to stay sane.
- Leadership focused on performance, not politics — expectations are clear, support is real.
- A city that challenges you professionally — diverse calls, evolving issues, meaningful police work.
- Room to specialize or promote without waiting a decade — growth paths exist and are attainable.
- A department on an upward trajectory — joining at the right moment, not the wrong one.
This Lane Is for Officers Who:
- Are POST-certified and in good standing.
- Bring judgment, perspective, and confidence to the job.
- Want accountability, not micromanagement.
